PROGRAMS
The Children's Department offers programs for children of all ages: story hours, tours, movies, crafts, and puppet shows.
- Wee Wigglers Story Hour for 3-5 year-olds: Mondays and Tuesdays, 10-10:30 a.m. or Monday evenings, 6:30-7:00 p.m.
- Crafts for 3-5 year-olds: Thursdays 10-10:15 a.m.
- Tours can be arranged for preschool groups, school classes, scout troops, etc. Call 477-5225 to schedule a visit.
- We also offer Summer and Winter Reading Clubs every year.
AUTHOR'S WALL OF FAME
Come see the Children's Authors Wall of Fame. Area third graders wrote authors for autographed picture to hang in the Children's Department. Come see what thirty-seven of them sent! Authors include Emily Arnold McCully, Virginia Hamilton, Connie Porter, Robert Munsch, Daniel Pinkwater, Walter Dean Myers, Natalie Babbitt, Beverly Cleary, Betsy Byars, Bruce Coville, Stan & Jan Berenstain, Brian Pinkney -- and more!
