Searching LINC

The LINC (Libraries IN Cooperation) catalog is maintained by the Lincoln Trail Libraries System, of which Danville Public Library is a member.  When you search LINC, you are searching the combined holdings of over 120 member libraries.

When you go to the initial search screen, you will see the tabs below:

• LINC -- Search the Lincoln Trail catalog, which includes holdings of Danville Public Library.  For help with searching, click the "?" icon in the upper right corner of the search screen.  You may reserve items for which holds are allowed.

• My Account -- Shows your patron account, including holds, blocks, items out and due date(s).  To log in, enter your library card barcode number, and your PIN number.  Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your home telephone number (unless you have arranged otherwise).  Once logged in, you may renew items that are not on hold for other patrons and reserve items for which holds are allowed.

• Good Reads -- Lists of Bestsellers and award-winning books.

• Media Mall -- Downloadable Audiobooks, eBooks, and Videos.  For help getting started, read the Quick Start Guide or the more comprehensive Help information.

• Databases -- Subscription databases shared with Lincoln Trail Libraries system.  You may search multiple databases simultaneously (requires library barcode number).
